Today we left Cuenca and arrived at the Copalinga Reserve which is where we stayed in bungalows. Today we started off our day having a nice breakfast at the Victoria Hotel. After we were done, we started our many hour journey to our next location. On the way to the Copalinga Reserve, we stopped at a few gas stations to grab snacks as well as make bathroom stops. Once we got to our hotel, we checked in and put our things in our rooms. Before dinner, we went on a small hike to a bird blind. After dinner, we had discussed the previous nights presentation of Paul Amos with Tait since he had missed the entire experience. Things that were highlighted in this discussion from the previous discussion was healthcare, food subsidies, immigration laws, and retirement plans.

Support for expatriates
When talking to Paul Amos, he had described that there were multiple groups on social media in order to expats to communicate and get to know one another. The article, "32 Ecuador Expats Talk About Living in Ecuador," put together by Bryan Haines discusses the viewpoints of 32 individuals about their experiences of being expats in Ecuador. Many of the people featured in this article describe looking into multiple other locations and then deciding that Ecuador was the best fit for their personal life. A common theme among the entries was that the cost of living in the area was extremely inexpensive. Another main theme was that the settling into the new area was difficult, but was eased when they had connections to other experienced expats. The people featured in the article varied with how much of the language they spoke and were able to comprehend.
